Publication Ethics

EDUVORA: Journal of Educational Studies is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, research integrity, and publication ethics. The journal expects all authors, reviewers, editors, and the publisher to uphold ethical principles throughout the submission, review, editorial, and publication processes. EDUVORA does not tolerate plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, manipulation of research findings, duplicate publication, inappropriate authorship, or any other form of academic and publication misconduct.

The publication ethics policy of EDUVORA is intended to ensure that all manuscripts are evaluated and published through a fair, transparent, objective, and responsible scholarly process. Ethical concerns that arise before or after publication will be handled appropriately by the editorial team based on the nature and severity of the concern.

1. Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are responsible for ensuring that manuscripts submitted to EDUVORA are original scholarly works and have not been previously published or simultaneously submitted to another journal. Authors must present research findings accurately and transparently and must not fabricate, falsify, manipulate, or selectively omit research data or findings. All sources, ideas, arguments, data, and other intellectual contributions obtained from other works must be properly acknowledged and cited.

Authors must ensure that all individuals listed as authors have made substantial contributions to the research and manuscript preparation. Individuals who have not made a significant contribution should not be listed as authors. Authors are also responsible for confirming the accuracy of author names, institutional affiliations, and corresponding author information.

Where research involves human participants, authors must ensure that appropriate ethical principles are followed, including informed consent, confidentiality, anonymity, and protection of participant information. Authors should provide information regarding ethical approval or clearance where such approval is required by the nature of the research.

Authors must disclose any financial, personal, institutional, or professional relationships that could potentially influence the research or its interpretation. Any sources of research funding or institutional support should also be disclosed where applicable.

Authors are expected to cooperate with the editorial team throughout the review and publication process and must respond appropriately to requests for clarification, revision, data verification, or ethical investigation. If a significant error is identified in a published article, authors have a responsibility to promptly notify the editorial team and cooperate in correcting the record.

2. Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers play an important role in maintaining the academic quality and integrity of EDUVORA. Reviewers are expected to evaluate manuscripts objectively, constructively, and independently based on academic quality, originality, methodological rigor, relevance, clarity, and contribution to the field of educational studies.

Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of all information contained in manuscripts under review. Manuscripts and their contents must not be shared with unauthorized individuals or used for personal, professional, or research purposes before publication.

Reviewers must disclose any potential conflict of interest that may affect their ability to provide an impartial evaluation. A reviewer should decline the assignment when there is a personal, professional, institutional, financial, or other relationship with the authors that could compromise objectivity.

Reviewers should provide clear, constructive, and evidence-based comments that can assist authors in improving their manuscripts. Reviewers should not make discriminatory, offensive, or personal remarks and should focus their evaluation on the academic content of the manuscript.

Reviewers should also identify relevant published work that has not been appropriately cited when such work is directly relevant to the manuscript. However, reviewers should not require authors to cite the reviewer's own publications merely to increase citation counts.

3. Responsibilities of Editors

The editors of EDUVORA are responsible for ensuring that editorial decisions are made fairly, objectively, and transparently. Editorial decisions should be based primarily on the academic quality, originality, relevance, methodological rigor, and contribution of the manuscript rather than on the author's identity, institutional affiliation, nationality, gender, religion, ethnicity, or other personal characteristics.

Editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and related information throughout the editorial and peer-review process. Editors should select reviewers who have appropriate expertise and no identifiable conflicts of interest with the authors or the research.

Editors must manage potential conflicts of interest appropriately and should not participate in editorial decisions involving manuscripts in which they have a personal, professional, financial, or institutional interest.

Editors are responsible for addressing allegations of plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, inappropriate authorship, or other forms of academic misconduct. Where necessary, editors may request additional information or documentation from authors, reviewers, or relevant institutions to assess the concern.

Editors should ensure that corrections, retractions, or other post-publication actions are handled appropriately when substantial errors or ethical concerns are identified after publication.

4. Responsibilities of the Publisher

The publisher of EDUVORA supports the editorial team in maintaining the integrity, accessibility, and sustainability of the journal. The publisher respects the independence of editorial decisions and does not interfere with the academic assessment of manuscripts.

The publisher supports appropriate action when ethical or publication-related concerns arise and works with the editorial team to ensure that the journal's publication processes remain transparent, responsible, and consistent with recognized principles of scholarly publishing.

5. Plagiarism and Academic Misconduct

EDUVORA does not tolerate plagiarism or any form of academic misconduct. Submitted manuscripts may be screened using an appropriate similarity or plagiarism-detection system. Plagiarism includes presenting another person's ideas, words, data, figures, or other intellectual contributions as one's own without appropriate attribution, as well as substantial reuse of previously published material without proper acknowledgment.

Academic misconduct may also include fabrication or falsification of data, manipulation of research results, duplicate or redundant publication, inappropriate authorship, undisclosed conflicts of interest, unethical research practices, and other actions that compromise the integrity of scholarly communication.

When potential misconduct is identified, the editorial team may conduct an appropriate preliminary assessment and request clarification or supporting documentation from the authors. Depending on the seriousness and circumstances of the case, the manuscript may be rejected or further editorial action may be taken.

If misconduct is identified after publication, EDUVORA may issue a correction, clarification, editorial notice, or retraction as appropriate to protect the integrity of the scholarly record.

6. Conflicts of Interest

All authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to disclose any circumstances that may create an actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest.

A conflict of interest may arise from financial relationships, employment, institutional affiliations, personal relationships, professional collaborations, academic competition, funding arrangements, or other circumstances that could influence or reasonably appear to influence scholarly judgment.

The existence of a disclosed conflict of interest does not necessarily prevent publication or participation in the review process. However, appropriate measures should be taken to ensure that the conflict does not compromise the fairness and objectivity of the editorial or peer-review process.

7. Ethical Considerations in Research

Authors conducting research involving human participants must ensure that the research complies with applicable ethical principles and institutional requirements. Where appropriate, authors should obtain approval from a relevant ethics committee or institutional review board before collecting data.

Participants should be informed about the purpose and procedures of the research and, where required, provide informed consent. Authors must protect the privacy, confidentiality, anonymity, and personal information of participants and must avoid unnecessary disclosure of identifiable information.

Research involving vulnerable populations requires particular attention to ethical safeguards and participant protection.

8. Corrections, Retractions, and Post-Publication Issues

EDUVORA recognizes the importance of maintaining an accurate and reliable scholarly record. When significant errors are identified after publication, the journal may publish a correction or other appropriate notice. Where an article contains serious errors, unreliable findings, plagiarism, fabricated or falsified data, or other substantial ethical violations, the journal may consider retraction.

Post-publication concerns should be communicated to the editorial team with sufficient information and evidence to allow an appropriate assessment. The editorial team will evaluate such concerns objectively and may consult relevant authors, reviewers, institutions, or other parties when necessary.

Any correction or retraction will be handled transparently and documented appropriately on the journal platform.

9. Ethical Commitment

EDUVORA: Journal of Educational Studies is committed to promoting responsible research and scholarly communication. All parties involved in the publication process are expected to act with honesty, transparency, fairness, accountability, confidentiality, respect, and academic integrity. By maintaining these principles, EDUVORA seeks to ensure that published research contributes reliably and responsibly to the advancement of educational knowledge, practice, policy, and society.
