3. Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers play an important role in maintaining the quality and integrity of published research. Reviewers are expected to:
- Accept review assignments only when they have appropriate expertise and can provide an objective assessment.
- Decline a review invitation if they have a conflict of interest with the authors, institutions, research, or other aspects of the manuscript.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding manuscripts and all information obtained during the review process.
- Evaluate manuscripts objectively and provide constructive, clear, and academically appropriate comments.

4. Peer-Review Process
MADISHA applies a double-blind peer-review process, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other as far as reasonably practicable.
Each submitted manuscript is initially screened by the editorial team to determine its conformity with the journal's scope, submission requirements, originality, and basic academic standards. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to qualified reviewers for evaluation.
Editorial decisions are made based on the reviewers' comments, the quality of the manuscript, and the editor's academic judgment. The editor may request revisions, additional review, or clarification when necessary.
5. Plagiarism and Research Misconduct
MADISHA does not tolerate plagiarism or other forms of research and publication misconduct.
The journal considers misconduct to include, but not be limited to:
- Plagiarism
- Self-plagiarism and inappropriate text recycling
- Fabrication or falsification of data
- Manipulation or inappropriate presentation of research results
- Duplicate or redundant publication
- Unauthorized use of another person's work or ideas
- Improper authorship or exclusion of legitimate contributors
- Undisclosed conflicts of interest
- Manipulation or misuse of the peer-review or publication process.
Manuscripts may be screened using appropriate similarity-detection tools. If substantial ethical concerns are identified, the editorial team may request clarification, reject the manuscript, retract a published article, or take other appropriate corrective action.
6. Authorship and Contributions
Authorship should reflect substantial contributions to the conception, design, execution, analysis, or interpretation of the research and meaningful participation in drafting or critically revising the manuscript.
All listed authors should approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission and publication.
Individuals who contribute to the research but do not meet the criteria for authorship should be appropriately acknowledged, where applicable.
Any changes to the authorship of a manuscript after submission should be communicated to the editor and agreed upon by all affected authors.
7. Conflict of Interest
Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, professional, personal, or other relationships that could reasonably be perceived as influencing the research, review, or editorial decision. Editors may take appropriate measures to manage disclosed or identified conflicts of interest, including assigning another editor or reviewer when necessary.
8. Corrections, Retractions, and Post-Publication Issues
MADISHA recognizes its responsibility to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the published scholarly record.
When a published article contains a significant error, the journal may publish an appropriate correction or other editorial notice. In cases involving serious errors, research misconduct, or unreliable findings, the journal may consider retraction in accordance with established scholarly publishing practices.
Authors are encouraged to promptly notify the editorial office of significant errors discovered after publication.
9. Ethical Treatment of Research Participants
Research involving human participants, personal data, or other ethically sensitive subjects should comply with applicable ethical standards and regulations.
Where required, authors should obtain appropriate ethical approval and informed consent and provide relevant information regarding ethical procedures in the manuscript.
Authors must protect the privacy and confidentiality of research participants and should not disclose personally identifiable information without appropriate justification and consent.
10. Use of Artificial Intelligence
Authors may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools for appropriate purposes such as language improvement, proofreading, or other technical assistance, provided that their use does not compromise the originality, accuracy, integrity, or transparency of the manuscript.
AI tools cannot be listed as authors because they cannot take responsibility for the content of a scholarly publication.
Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, citations, interpretation, and integrity of all content submitted to MADISHA. Where required by the journal, authors should disclose the use of AI tools in the manuscript or during submission.
